LED Expo Mumbai 2024 records a strong footfall 12,000+ visitors keen to explore innovations in LED and lighting industry

Mumbai, 13th June 2024: The 27th edition of LED EXPO Mumbai 2024 catering to the evolving market of LEDs, attracted 12,178 visitors from 16 countries and 352 Indian cities. The expo once again reaffirmed its position as India’s premier event for LEDs by satisfying 94% of exhibitors to meet the relevant target groups and 97% of the visitors impressed by the overall display and networking experience.

The expo provided a platform to the industry leaders, innovators and professionals for networking, exchanging ideas and grow business collaborations. It served as a hotspot for the launch of cutting-edge products and technologies by several companies.

With a range of exhibits and products, the exhibitors presented their advanced product portfolio with featuring indoor-outdoor lights, architectural lighting, decorative lighting landscape lighting, commercial lighting, lighting components and accessories and raw materials, and lots more. A strong emphasis on sustainability was evident, with the participants and sessions discussing the energy saving and sustainable practices through LED lighting solutions.

Delighted with the business development through the show, Mr Raj Shah, Managing Director, Power Palazzo, said: “We are India’s largest manufacturer and importer of LED drivers and components. We have got highly potential customers at LED Expo and we have been participating with them for the last 10 years. The journey with LED Expo and Messe Frankfurt India has been phenomenal. Right now, we carry a customer base of more than 700 B2B customers and a lot of credit goes to Messe Frankfurt India and the LED Expo team.”

Mr B S Praveen, Director, Uniglobus, shared: “We are into power, electronics, R&D, product development and manufacturing. I am associated with Messe Frankfurt India for very long time, however, Uniglobus is just three-year old and the company has been associated with the show for two and a half year. For us, generally, the response at LED Expo is good and we get visitors from the lighting fraternity.”

Apart from the exciting displays, a series of seminars and workshops led by Women in Lighting and Illuminating Engineering Society. The overarching theme of the sessions focused on discussing the industry highlighted the fundamentals of light and its technicalities. The discussions emphasised on using light intelligently to enhance the spatial experiences and bring art elements in focus, amplify the spatial depth and enhance the mood. The sessions witnessed a houseful seminar area with an overwhelming round of QnA from the audience. This reinforces the importance of LED Expo as a knowledge hub.

Sharing his thoughts on the sessions and expo, Dr Amardeep Dugar, Director at Large, IES (Illuminating Engineering Society), said: “It has been a great experience to be part of the LED Expo. We would like to congratulate Messe Frankfurt India for putting up together such a great show. The educational content, the audience and the level of enthusiasm that I have seen from the people is interesting and encouraging for us as lighting professionals. We had some insightful sessions and great interactions, exciting displays of products. It’s good to see Indian market growing and maturing, and we have a lot to learn from this. The LED Expo is a great step in taking this forward, educating the people and getting them more involved. I am proud to part of the LED Expo.”

LED Expo satisfied 97% of the visitors who were able to strike new business relations, explore innovations gather market impression and do their research on procurement. The expo resulted in fulfilling the 96% of visitors with vendor and supplier development.

Coming down to attend the show all the way from Chennai, Mr V Ravichandran, Founder/Director, Inventaa, said: “We are from Chennai and have come to visit the LED Expo to understand the new market and explore new products. The exhibition is well organized and we can see a good number of footfalls here and lot of new models and new varieties have been displayed. We are happy to visit this expo.”

Sharing his experience visitor Mr Sudhir Abhichandani, Founder, 247 BTL, said: “Here, at LED Expo and it is quite bright and radiant, nice to see some different products and new solutions, especially in automation. It’s been a good experience to visit LED Expo.”

Visitor Ms Tasneem Lokhandwalla, Director, Astral Components, said: “I have been in this industry for almost 20 years and LED Expo is a must visit every year because it’s a wonderful platform where we get to meet and interact with customers and get new customers.”

The success of LED EXPO Mumbai 2024 sets a promising tone for the future of the LED and lighting industry in India. Backed by many successful editions, the next edition of Light + LED Expo co-located with Smart Home Expo New Delhi, has been scheduled from 21st – 23rd November 2024 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka – New Delhi, will present the lighting and home automation solutions.

LED Expo and Smart Home Expo are part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fair portfolio headed by the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany. The next edition will be held from 8 – 13 March 2026. Messe Frankfurt organises a number of trade fairs for the light and building technology sectors in Asia, Argentina, China, the UAE and the USA.
